Area Clinical Director / RN - Home Care

Join the Aveanna Healthcare team as an Area Clinical Director (ACD) overseeing all operational services within a home care region. You will collaborate closely with the Regional VP of Clinical Operations to develop and implement programs while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and regional regulations. The ACD leads the area nursing team, managing hiring, discipline, training, and all nursing-related responsibilities.

The ACD is responsible for the management of all operational services for their region of responsibility. Working within the federal, state, and regional regulations covering home health/care, the ACD works innovatively to meet the needs of our exceptional patients while fulfilling Aveanna’s mission of future growth. The area nursing team members report up through the ACD who oversees hiring, discipline, training, and all nursing related items.

• Communicates formally and informally with corporate and branch level stakeholders to discuss and implement clinical procedures and troubleshoot issues.
• Conducts day‑to‑day personnel management, including performance management and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Organizes and conducts clinical leadership and staff meetings.
• Collaborates with Clinical Directors and recruiting staff to build nursing teams at the branch level.
• Provides guidance for Clinical Directors and Clinical Supervisors as needed.
• Monitors caseloads per branch and mentors leadership staff regarding management strategies.
• Audits and assesses for service failures and intervenes as necessary.
• Participates in community events and achieves clinical metrics provided by the executive team.
• Reviews weekly/monthly clinical performance reports and makes presentations to regional teams regarding clinical topics and key performance indicators.

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• Current State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable MVR.
• Three years experience as a RN within the last five years; experience in a clinical care setting preferred.
• Current CPR accreditation by the American Heart Association and American Red Cross or other approved sources.
• Strong computer skills and basic software proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Home health or home care experience.
• Management experience.
• Pediatric experience.

• Travel; company does not provide vehicles.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
• Sit and climb stairs.
• Visual and hearing acuity.

• Office environment with occasional field visits during agency operating hours.
• Operate in a variety of environments that may involve exposure to allergens and other conditions.
