American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position involving both inpatient and outpatient care with a focus on radiology procedures and moderate sedation.

Job Details

• Work in an Interventional Radiology unit serving both inpatient and outpatient populations,

• Perform radiology procedures including IR, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and pre/post (Phase 2 Recovery) care,

• Typical patient ratio is 1:5,

• Procedures include biopsies, tubes, lines, drains, lytics, thrombectomies, neuro, body and vascular interventions, and embolizations,

• Utilize Air Pal for patient movement in IR rooms, ceiling lift in CT rooms, and NK monitors with EtCO2 monitoring,

• Shift consists of 10-hour day shifts from 08:00 to 18:30, four shifts per week,

• No required floating,

• On-call duties required as needed by department,

No weekend shifts required,

• Uses Epic/Excellian EMR (Epic experience required),

Job Requirements

• Active MN RN license or eligibility for pending license,

• At least one year of Interventional Radiology or related radiology nursing experience required,

• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS),

• Epic EMR experience required,

• Must provide at least one supervisor reference for consideration,

• Applicants must reside more than 100 miles from the facility unless applying for a radiology position,

• Will consider first-time travelers,

• Past employees must be separated for at least 3 months prior to returning as a traveler,

Additional Information

• Role involves moderate sedation for IR procedures and monitoring of pacemaker patients undergoing MRI,

• Administer anxiolysis for exams and medication for nuclear medicine patients,

• Anesthesia available for select patients as needed,

• Must wear provided scrubs as part of the dress code,

• Pre-start modules and training required before assignment begins,

• Limit of no more than 5 days of requested time off during assignment is strongly preferred,

• This is a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level III Trauma hospital environment,

• Parking is available at a flat hourly rate,
