- Lead outbreak investigations, response efforts, and mitigation strategies
- Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention programs and policies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local infection control regulations and standards
- Educate, coach, and mentor clinical staff on infection prevention best practices
- Monitor healthcare-associated infection trends and identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to strengthen clinical quality and resident safety outcomes
- Support survey readiness and provide guidance during regulatory visits and audits
- Develop corrective action plans and assist organizations in achieving sustained compliance
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Multi-state licensure or willingness to obtain additional state licenses preferred
- Experience in Infection Prevention, Infectious Disease, Public Health, Long-Term Care, Post-Acute Care, or Senior Living environments
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred, or willingness to pursue certification
- Strong knowledge of CDC, CMS, OSHA, and other applicable infection prevention standards
- Experience leading outbreak response and implementing infection control programs
- Exceptional communication, education, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to assess situations quickly, make sound clinical decisions, and lead change effectively
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively based on assignment needs
