Position: Sales Lead/Barista (Full-Time) @ Minneapolis Marriott

Event Network is seeking a Sales Lead for our Coffee Marketplace
. The role is located in Minneapolis, MN and offers compensation of $15.97 per hour. This is a full‑time, mid‑senior level position within the retail industry.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead by example, delivering outstanding guest service at the coffee bar and marketplace to create welcoming, warm, and memorable interactions.
  • Support daily café operations, from preparing beverages to ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Engage guests, sharing product knowledge, coffee enthusiasm, and marketplace highlights to create moments of delight.
  • Assist with store operations such as handling cash, managing inventory, and keeping the store stocked, clean, and guest‑ready.
  • Collaborate closely with the Store Director and Assistant Store Director (where applicable), coaching teammates to achieve their best.
  • Present food & beverage and retail products in an appealing and organized way.
What You Bring
  • Prior barista or food‑service supervisory experience preferred; retail leadership or keyholder background strongly valued.
  • Passion for coffee and quality service, with a willingness to share knowledge and craft with guests and teammates.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Leadership potential: ability to take initiative, set the tone for service, and support the management team.
  • Flexibility: willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive energy: a can‑do attitude that keeps the workplace fun, energetic, and supportive.
  • Team player: willingness to support teammates and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Food safety awareness, including commitment to following health department standards and proper food handling procedures.
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate in compliance with applicable state and local regulations, required upon hire or within 30 days of start date.
  • Access to approved food safety training and the possibility of covering certification costs upon successful completion.
  • Requirement to maintain Food Handler and, if applicable, Food Protection Manager (Serv Safe Manager) certifications throughout employment.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing, walking, and active engagement throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasional reaching, climbing, kneeling, or crouching.
