Swannies Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for the overall operations, performance, and customer experience of our flagship retail store. This role requires a versatile leader who can manage daily operations, develop staff, drive sales, and create an exceptional shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily store operations and ensure smooth, efficient functioning
  • Implement and manage point-of-sale (POS) system setup and operations
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive store procedures and protocols
  • Manage inventory control and stock management
  • Ensure store cleanliness and maintenance of professional appearance
  • Recruit, train, and develop 2-3 part-time sales associates
  • Create and manage employee work schedules
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment
  • Provide personalized product recommendations and in-store sales assistance
  • Track and analyze sales metrics and performance indicators
  • Develop customer loyalty and repeat business
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Design and implement strategic product displays that highlight seasonal collections and evergreen staples product
  • Create an inviting and aesthetically pleasing store environment
  • Work with marketing to ensure product presentation aligns with brand identity and current trends
  • Rotate displays to maintain visual interest and showcase new products
Required Skills and Experience
  • 3+ years of retail management experience, preferably in apparel or sports retail
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency with POS systems and retail software
  • Basic understanding of visual merchandising principles
  • Preferred qualifications:

    Background or interest in golf
  • Experience with inventory management systems

Pay is $25/hour. Winter hours of store are:
Thursdays through Sundays. Job is FT and will have varying schedule.
