Account Executive - US Western Region Territory
This role is based in the US Western Region and covers the time zones CST / MT / PST.
Responsibilities- Meet and exceed individual quarterly and annual quotas for contracts and revenue.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities to meet quarterly and annual targets, including access to and alignment with customer C‑levels.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline of all opportunities, white‑space, contacts, and account history and provide appropriate communication.
- Deliver an engaging, value‑based sales methodology and drive meaningful customer value for all stakeholders, including presenting the vision to C‑levels.
- Apply an ethical selling approach centered around selling solutions we can deliver.
- Manage all aspects of the sales cycle, including solution development, deal‑term negotiation, and contract closing for new business opportunities within the territory.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure expectations are established, communicated, and documented.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to maintain 100% customer satisfaction and create opportunities for additional business growth.
- 5+ years of successful enterprise retail technology sales experience in tier one and two retail markets ($500M+), especially in grocery, convenience, DIY, and specialty retail.
- Demonstrable experience at complex selling to business and C‑level, with a track record of over‑achieving $1M+ quotas.
- Independent, resourceful, adaptable, and achievement‑oriented – entrepreneurial and able to develop the territory into a functioning business.
- Open‑minded, hands‑on, team‑oriented, and down‑to‑earth communicator with strong collaboration skills across inside sales, pre‑sales, alliances, and sales operations.
- Customer‑focused, with a proven ability to build and maintain long‑term, win‑win relationships with clients.
- Value‑selling DNA and a strong background utilizing value‑selling tools; capable of delivering high ROI to RELEX customers.
- Excellent communication skills demonstrated in customer interactions, proposals, sales communications, internal updates, and Salesforce reporting.
- Expert in leading SaaS and services contract negotiations with C‑level, technical, and legal teams, building predictable closing strategies aligned with the client.
