Ingram Micro’s Emerging Business Group (EBG) helps new and innovative technology vendors succeed in the channel. The team provides end‑to‑end support including relationship management, market development, sales, marketing, and technical enablement.

About the Role

The Development Executive serves as a strategic growth catalyst, driving partner engagement across the EBG vendor portfolio. Acting as the lead market development resource, this role collaborates with internal Customer Experience Representatives, Ingram Micro Sales teams, vendor sales teams, and channel partners to design and execute go‑to‑market strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting, pipeline development, solution selling, and reseller enablement.
  • Leveraging data‑driven insights via the Xvantage platform to identify high‑potential accounts and expand market share.
  • Cultivating strategic internal and external relationships.
  • Negotiating terms and representing Ingram Micro at client meetings and industry events.
  • Collaborating cross‑functionally with sales, marketing, product management, and operations to ensure successful deal execution and customer satisfaction.
Success Metric

Driving net‑new opportunities for the vendors supported by the EBG team.

Account Focus
  • Develop relationships with Ingram Micro sales executives and existing partners.
  • Regularly introduce new EBG vendors to drive incremental sales.
  • All Ingram Micro accounts are within scope, with a stronger emphasis on Advanced Solutions accounts.
Travel Requirements

Monthly travel expected for partner visits and industry events.

Vendor Support

Supports 15–20 EBG vendors at any given time.

Education/Experience

A high school diploma (or equivalent) required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of six years of previous strategic, outside sales, account management experience (preferably in a related industry), or four years of technology or distribution experience in a sales or customer service capacity.

Location
  • Field‑based role.
  • May be based out of Buffalo, NY.
Compensation

60/40 split. Base pay range $67,300.00 – $ per year. Variable compensation plan includes merit increases, annual bonus, sales incentives, long‑term incentives. Must be able to pass a drug test and pre‑employment background check.
