What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Assist with controlling access to restricted areas and help to maintain order within the healthcare environment.
  • Collaborate with site staff and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergency situations.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to staff, visitors and/or patients.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Background investigation as a condition of employment.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
