Security Service Technician 1 — Minneapolis, MN

• Respond to routine and non‑routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance, emergency and after‑hours service, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing defective parts, and debugging systems.
• Use solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
• Perform preventative maintenance for installed systems and assist in the installation and support of new security projects.
• Provide custom systems integrations, detailed upgrade planning, system audits, consultations, and database management as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service reports for invoicing and job cost tracking.
• Collaborate with team members to improve overall operations and uphold federal, state, and local regulations and company safety policies.
• Execute service calls in compliance with all applicable regulations and health and safety policies.
• Assist in cross‑training and support of other specialists on service calls and small projects.

• High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Developed customer focus, ability to work under pressure, and the determination to meet customer needs.
• Technical skills in building automation, fire alarm, and/or electronic security systems.
• Basic programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (hand and power tools such as drills, screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers).
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Preferred 1–3 years of relevant experience or experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.
