- Ensure the timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of work performed by technicians.
- Perform inspections after installation to verify compliance with client specifications.
- Complete reviews to confirm proper restoration of the area.
- Capture photos and attach them to inspection reports.
- Perform white‑line excavations and collect locate data.
- Verify the system complies with all safety requirements.
- Work safely, following OSHA and company guidelines.
- Prioritize, organize, and efficiently complete tasks to meet deadlines.
- Work in a variety of outdoor environments.
- Drive company vehicles responsibly and safely.
- Attend and conduct meetings as needed.
- At least 2 years of telecommunications (cable, internet, telephone, wireless) installation or construction experience (sales, call‑center, and IT roles are not considered).
- Experience with quality control and verifications.
- Experience with Blue stakes is a plus.
- Experience with underground locates and the ability to use a compass for directional instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude, ability to use hand tools for intended purposes.
- Willingness to travel daily around the Chicago metro area and work varied schedules.
- Excellent customer service, time‑management, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to learn and operate testing equipment and software/programs.
- Ability to identify wire size/color and use measuring devices accurately.
- Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work on an extension ladder (~28 ft, 75 lb).
- Ability to work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces, and elevated, often standing up to 70 % of the time.
- Ability to safely navigate varied terrains, managing equipment and tools.
- Body weight no more than 275 lb for ladder work; safety is priority. Accommodations may be available based on prior ladder experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Pass all pre‑employment requirements (MVR, background check, drug screen).
