What you can expect as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician at West Star:
Whether you are replacing or repairing parts, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical/hydraulic and pneumatic systems, or performing inspections on sophisticated civilian aircraft, no day is the same. Each day offers new experiences and opportunities for growth.

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems
• Remove and install panels and components
• Troubleshoot and solve aircraft system and component issues
• Defuel aircraft
• Remove and install engines
• Operate ground support equipment
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components
• Move aircraft and assist with performance runs and taxiing
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling
• Use basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Airframe and Powerplant License required
• valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or valid passport is ideal but not mandatory

• Attend work as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments
• Notify supervisor in advance of any inability to work
• Maintain reliable transportation to attend work daily
• Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines
• Follow all company and safety rules during duties
• Maintain customer-oriented work habits
