We are hiring a Field Engineer for a 6-month contract position based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with the possibility of extension. This is a hands-on role requiring onsite presence and travel to project sites across the United States approximately twice per month. You will work 40 hours per week, starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities- Deploy and install network infrastructure equipment including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and network racks at customer sites
- Perform hands‑on network setup, connectivity troubleshooting, and validation of network infrastructure
- Install and troubleshoot structured cabling and low‑voltage cabling systems
- Organize and install network racks and coordinate rack builds
- Install and mount display and AV equipment as needed for deployments
- Act as the onsite technical lead, working independently and taking ownership of deployment activities
- Communicate directly with customers and provide project updates
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and cabling installation contractors
- Troubleshoot technical issues onsite and keep deployments on schedule
- Travel to project sites across the United States, potentially including locations in Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Texas, Ohio, and other areas
- Required
- 3-5 years of hands‑on field engineering or network infrastructure deployment experience
- Demonstrated experience with network switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and network racks
- Hands‑on experience with structured cabling and low‑voltage cabling installation and troubleshooting
- Experience acting as an onsite technical lead on deployment projects
- Experience coordinating and supervising subcontractors or installation teams
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of onsite technical activities
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact directly with customers
- Willingness to travel approximately twice per month to various U.S. project sites
- Preferred
- Experience with Logitech conferencing equipment
- Experience with OWL conferencing systems
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms setup and deployment
- AV (audiovisual) equipment installation and configuration
- Data center infrastructure deployment experience
- Construction‑site or greenfield technology deployment
- Temporary office or jobsite trailer setup experience
- CCNA certification
