This is a union field technician role testing and maintaining electrical power equipment across the upper Midwest, with union benefits and pension. Openings run from Level I through IV.
What you'll do- Test, inspect and maintain switch gear, breakers, transformers and cable.
- Run high-voltage test equipment, including power factor test sets.
- Commission new installations and support outages and emergency calls.
- Lead and mentor apprentices and junior techs (senior levels).
- NETA certification at any level, or relevant electrical experience on the way to certification.
- Experience with power factor or HV testing preferred.
- Willingness to travel 50–75%.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
$40.43–$53.91/hr daily overtime after 8 hours and double time after 10. Union medical and dental, union pension, per diem and hotel covered when traveling.
