Wages and Benefits

$22.00–$24.00 per hour; $1,000 hiring bonus after 3 months of employment; generous paid time off, plus 10 paid holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance; health savings account (HSA) and options for flexible spending accounts (FSA). Employer paid basic life insurance with optional additional coverage paid by the employee. We also pay for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D), short‑ and long‑term disability insurance, and sponsor a retirement plan with a tiered vesting schedule based on years of service, plus a 2% employer contribution after one year of service.

Schedule

This position works during normal business hours and may include some evening hours. It includes travel to clients’ homes, schools, and other metro locations, and it may include the use of a personal vehicle to do so.

Responsibilities
  • Help recruit and enroll eligible families, and prepare meaningful, developmentally appropriate instructional materials for parents and children.
  • Manage a supportive caseload of 10–12 families and provide consistent home visits each month.
  • Plan and lead weekly home visits, facilitate parenting groups, and coordinate medical screenings and community activities that enrich family well‑being.
  • Track family progress, ensure follow‑through on educational goals, and support discussions during group sessions.
  • Build strong relationships through parent interviews, family needs assessments, and child developmental screenings and assessments.
  • Use an evidence‑based curriculum to strengthen child development, parent development, and overall family well‑being.
  • Coach families on connecting with social service agencies and accessing the support they need.
  • Share essential information with parents on childhood immunizations, home safety, nutrition, discipline, and constructive play.
  • Provide developmentally appropriate activities and guidance to support children’s intellectual, social‑emotional, motor, and language growth.
  • Teach parents about child development stages, positive parenting techniques, and injury prevention through discussion, videos, and role‑play activities.
  • Assist families with childcare enrollment processes and applications for financial assistance.
  • Support families through a smooth and well‑planned transition when they complete services.
  • Keep accurate, timely records and documentation in alignment with agency and contract requirements.
  • Manage and organize parent resource materials to ensure families have access to helpful tools and information.
  • Advocate for families by identifying needed services, making referrals, and ensuring follow‑through based on developmental assessments and observations.
  • Coordinate engaging parent meetings and workshops focused on child health, mental health, and development.
  • Help families navigate doctor and dental appointments, community resources, and other identified needs; occasionally provide transportation when necessary.
  • Support parents in establishing consistent medical and dental homes to promote long‑term access to quality care.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, psychology, health, child development, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and lived experience.
  • At least one year of hands‑on experience in classroom facilitation and providing home visits.
  • Experience supporting families in crisis and working with people from diverse social backgrounds.
