Brooksource is seeking two skilled Senior Java Developers for a large, complex public‑sector application. The client is upgrading major versions of Hibernate in a highly visible environment. The role requires an experienced full‑stack Senior Java developer with documented experience upgrading Hibernate in large complex systems. Candidates without experience on a Hibernate upgrade will not be considered.
Must Have Skills- 7+ years of experience as a Full‑Stack J2EE Developer on large scale projects.
- Must have recent hands‑on experience developing with the noted tools below.
- Ideal candidates have deep full‑stack Java experience
, with recent, hands‑on, advanced Hibernate development and the ability to analyze and design technical solutions independently. - At least one documented and referenceable project migrating major versions of Hibernate.
- This role requires a self‑starting problem solver to support migration and conversion efforts for a large scale Hibernate upgrade.
- Developers in this role must be able to solve problems and develop creative solutions – this is not a copy‑paste or template‑only development role.
- Documented experience migrating/upgrading Hibernate (disqualified if not).
- NOTE:
Simply using or understanding how to use Hibernate does not meet this requirement. Migration is a must. - Core Java – full stack
- Spring Framework & Spring MVC
- Advanced Hibernate
- Any relational databases
- JSP front end development
- IBM RAD or Eclipse IDE
- Experience working within AWS Cloud environment.
- Large scale public sector, insurance or financial systems project experience (e.g., unemployment insurance, integrated eligibility or human services, Medicaid/Medicare or other healthcare insurance, finance or revenue systems, etc.).
- DB2 database.
