The Entry‑Level Software Engineer will develop and maintain internal tools using Ruby on Rails, perform data engineering tasks, and automate internal processes. Beyond engineering, you will act as product owner, close to business stakeholders, to ensure software aligns with business goals.

Pay Rate/Range: $70,

The compensation for this role will be based on qualifications, experience, market data, and internal equity. Actual pay may vary due to factors such as location, skills, education, and performance. Pay is determined transparently, using market benchmarks and ensuring internal equity.

• Develop and maintain internal tools using Ruby on Rails.
• Perform data engineering tasks, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Automate internal processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the software meets their needs.
• Act as a product owner for the software developed, ensuring it aligns with business goals and objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards and best practices.

• Within 3 months, be familiar with existing codebase and make improvements requested by the business.
• Within 9 months, write a customer‑facing application that has basic functionality (retrieve invoices, place new order, find documents).
• Write production code with consistent deployments.
• Actively use unit testing to ensure bugs are not recurring.

• Entry‑Level Experience as a software engineer.
• Have a foundation in modern coding practices from which you are ready to contribute from and ready to grow upon.
• Ruby on Rails or similar technologies.
