Machine Learning Engineer

Behind every empowering technology feature is a Machine Learning Engineer who sweated the edge cases, and Consulting Plus Group is hiring more of them. What makes this Consulting Plus Group role different is the ownership; the $105,000 - $156,000 and freelance hours are just the entry fee.

• Write the Written Communication integration tests that catch regressions before Minneapolis, MN ships them
• Profile and refactor legacy code to reduce technical debt over time
• Map data flow across Consulting Plus Group's LightGBM services and spot the leaks
• Implement secure authentication and authorization flows using Statistical Modeling
• Backfill Statistical Modeling test coverage on the riskiest corners of Consulting Plus Group's codebase
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong code-review culture
• Scale data pipelines processing millions of events with Written Communication

• Comfort being measured against a clear senior bar
• Eagerness to take ownership and run with new responsibilities
• A bias toward asking the dumb question before the expensive mistake
• Familiarity with Consulting Plus Group-scale workflows, or the appetite to reach them
• A collaborator's reflex to share credit and absorb blame
• Flexibility to adapt your approach as business needs evolve

We started Consulting Plus Group in a Minneapolis garage because the technology status quo deserved a bias-to-action reckoning. Curiosity outranks credentials on this technology team, so bring questions, not just answers.

Pay starts strong at $105,000 - $156,000, mentorship runs deep, and the road from senior to lead is paved with real benefits.

Hiring is happening now, not last quarter, for this Machine Learning Engineer seat.
