Middle School Boys 7th Grade Basketball Coach

Wayzata Central MS is in need of a 7th grade boys basketball coach for the Winter 2 season.

• Season is January 12, 2026 to March 6, 2026

• Plan and conduct practices from 4:15 to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
• Monitor from 5:30 to 5:40 pm student-athletes who use the late activity bus for transportation home.
• Manage strategy and player game time in each game.
• Ensure development and well‑being of the student‑athletes.
• Maintain team discipline and administer logical and transparent disciplinary action.
• Operate the team in accordance with the policies, rules, and regulations of Wayzata Public Schools and the Middle School Classic Lake Conference.
• Hold team members accountable for conducting themselves with sportsmanship, respect, and integrity in accordance with the ideals and goals set forth in the Wayzata Public Schools Extracurricular Behavior Regulations.

• Prior basketball coaching experience at the middle school or high school level.
• Excellent leadership, people and communication skills.

• WEA extracurricular stipend.

• If no internal candidates are selected, external candidates will be considered. Position will remain open until filled.

Stipend range $100 - $9,168. This position is not beneift eligible.
