Professional Mover​/Driver

The Professional Mover / Driver is responsible for executing residential and commercial moves safely, efficiently, and courteously.

This includes loading, transporting, and unloading household or office goods, ensuring all property is handled with care, and maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.

Movers and Drivers represent Affinity Moving LLC on every job site — professionalism, communication, and safety are essential.

• Pre-Move Preparation Review daily job details (customer name, addresses, inventory, time window).
• Inspect moving truck (fuel, oil, tires, cleanliness, equipment readiness).
• Load supplies and tools (furniture pads, dollies, straps, runners, wrap, and boxes).
• Conduct safety briefings and crew assignments before departure.
• Communicate with dispatcher and customer to confirm estimated arrival time.
• On‑Site Duties Arrive on time, in full uniform, with a positive attitude.
• Greet customer courteously and conduct a walk‑through of the home or office.
• Plan and protect property (use floor runners, door jamb protectors, and blankets).
• Safely pack, wrap, and label all items according to company standards.
• Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed.
• Safely lift and carry items up to 75 lbs or more with proper technique.
• Load the truck efficiently, securing all items to prevent shifting or damage.
• Transit Drive safely and responsibly, following DOT and company driving policies.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and dispatch during transport.
• Ensure all items are protected and secure during transit.
• Delivery and Unloading Conduct a destination walk‑through before unloading.
• Protect property (floors, stairs, entryways).
• Unload, unwrap, and reassemble items carefully.
• Place items in rooms as directed by the customer.
• Perform a final walkthrough and obtain customer sign‑off.
• Post‑Move Duties Clean and organize truck after each job.
• Complete job paperwork, time sheets, and damage reports if needed.
• Return equipment and supplies to their proper locations.
• Report any vehicle or equipment issues immediately.
• Professional Expectations Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and teammates.
• Follow all safety guidelines and lifting procedures.
• Avoid smoking, profanity, or loud music on customer property.
• Protect and respect every customer’s belongings as if they were your own.
• Represent Affinity Moving’s values of honesty, teamwork, and excellence.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred for drivers).
• Clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations).
• Prior professional moving experience required (1+ years preferred).
• Ability to lift and carry 50–75 lbs repeatedly.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

• Experience driving 16–26 ft box trucks.
• DOT medical card (if driving).
• Knowledge of moving equipment, furniture handling, and packing methods.
• Leadership or crew management experience a plus.
