Warehouse Lead

Job Description

Motivated and organized Warehouse Manager that ensures customers and vendors have confidence in PROS in terms of fulfilling our sales promises. At this point, the role manages the warehouse and the warehouse functions, but does not manage other staff. The Warehouse Manager is a critical role in completing the sales process through precise receiving, processing, storing, efficient packaging, and shipping. This role makes sure that shipping and receiving is seamless and customers receive products that meet their expectations.

Also responsible for overseeing the organization of a 5000 square foot warehouse space. Very important that the Warehouse Manager works with the rest of the team well. The customer journey is only successful when the team works together.

• Receive parts from vendors: sort, store, inventory products entering/exiting warehouse
• Identify any missing, lost or damaged parts and relaying information to purchasing
• Provide receiving support services such as documenting photos and specs
• Review sales orders and innovatively packaging and labeling items so that orders maximize consolidation and safe shipping to save customer shipping costs
• Stage the orders to prioritize parts by order and ensure efficiencies
• Ensure products are shipped to the right destination
• Ensure packages are shipped through the most economical service that aligns with the customer needs
• Create export documentation for DHL and UPS shipments
• Run a foaming machine for items that are more fragile
• Oversee system for warehouse supplies, and order supplies for the warehouse
• Integrate best practices in handling warehouse materials
• Keep warehouse premises neat, clean and organized, including garbage and recycling
• Work closely with the Purchasing team and the Sales team

• Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds or more
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently
• High attention to detail and monitors quality/quantity of inventory
• Highly organized and able to store items efficiently
• Must follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state
• Experience with UPS Worldship, DHL, USPS and Fed Ex preferred
• Experience with Sage 100 preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in warehouse/distribution center
• Experience picking and packing customer orders
