We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a respected public accounting firm that provides audit, tax, and consulting services to a diverse client base. This role involves performing a wide range of accounting, audit, and tax assignments under the supervision of Managers and Partners. You will work closely with leadership on engagements, maintain flexibility to meet client needs, and commit to seasonal overtime requirements.

As a Senior Accountant, you will prepare and analyze financial reports, reconcile accounts, and assist with tax return preparation for businesses and individuals. Responsibilities include compiling, reviewing, and auditing financial statements, managing client accounts, and providing general bookkeeping and payroll services. You will supervise projects, mentor staff, and develop client relationships while promoting additional firm services. Occasional travel to client sites and participation in training and development programs are expected.
This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam
- Public accounting experience with direct client interaction
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and income tax
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Excellent decision‑making, problem‑solving, and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Willingness to work seasonal overtime
- Experience supervising projects and mentoring staff
- Familiarity with accounting systems and control procedures
- Strong computer aptitude and desire for continuous skill development
