Position: Director of Accounts & Growth
Location: Arlington

Data Metalcraft Inc. is a full‑service metal fabricator and powder coat specialist headquartered in Arlington, Minnesota. Since its founding in 1977, the company has delivered complex weldments, enclosures, and electromechanical assemblies to the North American market, emphasizing engineering expertise and innovative technology.

The Director of Accounts & Growth is responsible for driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts. This leader manages the Account Management team, oversees strategic executive‑level customer relationships, and ensures client success through proactive service and strong communication.

In addition to sales and account management, the role includes ownership of the estimation and quoting process, leading large‑scale customer implementation projects, and establishing a clear business development strategy that balances new business with long‑term client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Account Management team to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Set performance metrics and provide coaching aligned with company growth goals.
  • Oversee key customer accounts, maintaining relationships with high‑level personnel at client organizations.
  • Resolve customer concerns and escalations quickly and effectively, driving measurable value for clients.
  • Serve as the executive point of contact for clients, strengthening long‑term partnerships.
  • Oversee the estimation process for new opportunities and existing programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve standardized quoting tools to optimize accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review and approve quotes to ensure completeness, competitiveness, and alignment with company objectives.
  • Personally prepare and develop quotes for complex or strategic opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely transfer of quoting and project details from Account Managers to Engineering, enabling smooth handoffs and execution.
Business Development & Growth Strategy
  • Develop and execute a strategy that generates new accounts in target markets.
  • Lead the build‑out of the sales organization, creating new processes and tools to streamline operations.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand revenue with existing customers through enhanced service offerings.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine strategies proactively.
  • Lead large‑scale customer implementation projects, coordinating resources across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver customized solutions that enhance client satisfaction.
Communication & Reporting
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and senior client stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across all communications.
  • Provide executive leadership with regular reporting on account performance, pipeline health, and project status.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand presence and attract new business.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, account management, or sales leadership, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Proven success in managing key accounts and securing new business.
  • Strong leadership experience in managing and developing account teams.
  • Direct experience in process routings for manufacturing.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of leading customer implementations.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills at the executive level.
  • Strong understanding of PowerPoint and other MS Suite apps.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration skills with operations, engineering, and quality teams.

Salary: $110,500 - $125,500 + bonus opportunity
