About this opportunity

CSA Supervisor represents the client’s interests on data centre projects, overseeing the civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) aspects from design through to handover. You will ensure that all CSA works meet the client’s specifications, quality standards, and programme requirements while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. Working closely with contractors, design teams, and stakeholders, you will safeguard the integrity of the built environment for these high-availability facilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
  • Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that project management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements and business procedures.
  • Supervising on-site CSA works of the general contractor, monitoring progress, quality, and adherence to design intent, ensuring contractors deliver within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Conducting regular inspections and audits of civil, structural, and architectural elements (e.g., foundations, structural steel, cladding, and fit-out) to verify compliance with specifications and industry best practices.
  • Identifying and reporting on potential risks or issues related to CSA works, proposing mitigation strategies to prevent delays, cost overruns, or quality concerns.
  • Facilitating the coordination between the PM team, general contractors and design teams to resolve CSA-related issues, ensuring seamless integration with critical systems.
  • Providing detailed updates to the client and project team on CSA progress to support transparent and data-driven communication.
  • Assessing and advising on variations or change requests impacting CSA works, ensuring client approval and alignment with project objectives.
  • Overseeing the completion of CSA elements, ensuring all snagging, defects, and documentation are addressed for a smooth handover to the client or facility management team.
  • Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

  • Proven experience in managing construction activities across RIBA Stages 4–6 (construction through to handover), with a focus on quality control and programme adherence.
  • Strong knowledge of civil, structural, and architectural construction processes for large-scale projects.
  • Knowledge of industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills.
  • Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience of work in Finland with a solid knowledge of national contraction practice.
  • Professional level of English and intermediate level of Finnish.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
