St. Mary’s of the Lakein Lake City, MN is seeking a Director of Music/accompanist.
This part-time, approximately 10 hours per week position will provide liturgical music to enhance the liturgy of the faith community in accordance with the Catholic tradition. This role provides piano accompaniment working with other liturgical staff to support the liturgical and spiritual mission of the parish.
This is a part-time position.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- One to three years parish music experience preferred
- Keyboard proficiency; organ background preferable but not necessary
- Learned ability to read all types of music and guitar chords
- Training, knowledge and understanding of Roman Catholic liturgies
- Training or experience in working with choirs, cantors and ensembles
- Successfully complete a standard background check
