Building Supervisor for Minnewashta and Scenic Heights Elementary - School Year Only

Support visitor entry into the Minnewashta and Scenic Heights Elementary school buildings from the end of the school day until 6pm on school days during the school year. During this time, Explorers childcare, recreation, and enrichment programs are in session. This position reports to the Explorers Program Manager.

• Starting at $19.50/hour
• Not medical or dental benefit eligible.

• Must be able to pass Department of Human Services background study and fingerprinting.
• Must complete Explorers required trainings, including Health & Safety, CPR, Child Development, and Mandated Reporting.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
• Evidence of outgoing, friendly personality.
• Strong ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Evidence of ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

• Allow visitors access to the school building through one secured entrance.
• Meet, greet, and provide information and directions to persons in buildings so that people arrive at the scheduled location.
• Ensure quality customer service for our user groups and proper use of space.
• Respond to any emergencies that may arise (weather incidents, fire, intruder, etc.) and follow up with appropriate building leadership communication.
• Unlock and lock rooms for Community Ed usage.
• Assist with technology use if needed.
• Assist with class lists, handouts, and other necessary materials to instructors.
• Visually check each area in use before and after activity to ensure its order for the next day.
• Maintain a positive rapport with students, staff, administration, and the public.
• Perform all other duties as assigned, including activity preparation.
