Long Term Special Education Paraprofessional Substitute

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Long Term Special Education Paraprofessional Substitute to support students with diverse learning needs at King Elementary School. This position is essential in providing individualized assistance to students with disabilities, ensuring they have access to a quality education in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to promote student engagement, learning, and social development.

As soon as possible to approximately November 24, 2026

• - Assist the special education teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• - Provide one-on-one and small group support to students during classroom instruction and activities.
• - Support the development of social skills and positive behavior in students.
• - Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• - Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to all school policies and procedures.

• - High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or special education preferred.
• - Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is highly desirable.
• - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• - Ability to adapt to changing situations and respond to the needs of students in a dynamic classroom environment.
• - Familiarity with special education practices and IEP processes is a plus.
• - Must pass a background check and any other required pre-employment screenings.
• - Availability to work on a long-term substitute basis, with flexibility in scheduling as needed.
