MAHUBE-OTWA is actively recruiting an Early Head Start TEACHER at our Park Rapids Family Childcare
. Seeking caring individuals with a strong independent initiative, and experience implementing developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood development to work in our Head Start Family Childcare.
Your workdays will be filled with educating young minds, laughter, art, stories, hugs and so much more. Go home each day having had fun at work and feeling like you made a difference!
Implement curriculum that provides an inclusive learning environment allowing for children’s development based on individual need. Provide a daily routine and prepare a weekly lesson plan ensuring all required elements are incorporated.
Pay
: $24.61 - $26.88
Schedule
:
Non-Exempt, Day Shift, Monday – Friday, full time, year-round with four one-week layoffs spread over the program year.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- Assignment Specific Qualification Requirements: Minimum education and credential requirements depend on the employee’s assigned program option and classroom age group. Employees must meet all applicable Head Start Program Performance Standards, Minnesota DCYF licensing requirements, and MAHUBE-OTWA requirements. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood is preferred but not required for teacher positions.
Early Head Start – Infant/Toddler: Must meet applicable Early Head Start education and credential requirements, including a minimum of a CDA or comparable credential, and have been trained or have equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development.
Head Start – Preschool: Must meet applicable Head Start education and credential requirements for preschool teaching staff including an AA or bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education, or equivalent coursework.
