Summary:

As an O&M Field Technician you will be responsible for performing and overseeing the operations, maintenance and repair of wind turbines, ensuring all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.

• Perform and oversee the operations, maintenance and repair of wind turbines
• Contribute to team effort and maintain quality service
• Keeps fully informed of current developments in wind industry, regulations and company procedures
• Be available to perform additional related assigned tasks as needed
• Major components / Up-tower gearbox repair / Generator bearing replacements / bore scoping / inspections

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required; secondary education highly preferred
• Two (2) – five (5) years of functional experience in wind energy (or related industry) preferred
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability and willingness to learn new software applications
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to multi-task and work well in a team
• Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility and adaptability
• Strong analytical thinker with the ability to resolve complex issues
• Self-starter with drive for continuous improvement of business operations
• Willingness to step out of the box to assist other teams to meet challenges

• Must live within 45 miles of site location (Tyler, MN)
• Ability to climb ladders up to heights of 300+ feet
• Must not exceed 280 lbs. for safety of employee
• Work in confined spaces with diverse environmental conditions
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
• Required overnight travel for safety training and other required activities
• Full-time position up to 40 hours per week; may require occasional overtime
• Travel may be required; some overnight stays possible
• On feet for approximately 90% of the time; lifting 50–100 pounds occasionally
