Job Description

Andersen Corporation is seeking a Supply Chain Process Designer II at our Bayport facility. This position is responsible for managing and driving the material and information flow processes within projects. Key focus is developing the complete end-to-end supply chain system and being a key contributor on medium to large scale projects. The candidate will travel approximately 25%. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Identify unexpressed customer needs or customer problems and propose potential solutions.
  • Develop material, inventory, and information flow processes for plan, make, source, and deliver strategies defined by business needs.
  • Lead cross‑functional team meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions.
  • Design and procure material storage systems, material handling equipment, and computer hardware on medium to large scale projects.
  • Design and implement an information flow system containing supply chain and IT deliverables to meet project objectives.
  • Build reciprocal working relationships with people from across the organization and suppliers.
  • Communicate new ideas, project status, and results to project team and leadership through organized presentations that promote dialogue and understanding.
  • Develop new concepts and ideas that reduce overall costs across the supply chain.
  • Coach, guide, and train less experienced staff on technical skills within the functional area.
  • Lead supply chain specific tasks and informally provide direction to IT, scheduling, procurement, sourcing, and vendors.
Qualifications And Skills
  • 4‑year degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field; 5‑10 years of experience preferred.
  • Versatility in applying specialized technical knowledge in a wide variety of situations.
  • In‑depth knowledge of material and information flow systems and processes such as ERP, MES, and lean methodology.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes such as pull systems, Kanban, PDCA, and value stream mapping; well‑developed project management skills.
  • Unique or specific knowledge frequently sought by others.
  • Strong communication skills—written, verbal, listening, and presentation techniques.
  • Experience with change management strategies.
  • Ability to travel 25% as required.
