Overview
AGCO is seeking a Validation Engineering Technician to join our Engineering team in Jackson, MN. The Validation Engineering Technician will work cooperatively with the Validation Engineering team in the implementation of product test programs and will test components of AGCO products manufactured onsite, including sprayers, tractors, and fertilizers. The role involves hands-on work with equipment and time spent on reports (approximately 75% hands-on, 25% reporting).
Responsibilities- Supports Test Engineers by directly assisting in test execution and setup.
- Handles instrumentation and hardware, including installing instruments and swapping prototype parts.
- Executes and monitors tests using advanced knowledge of computer applications, data acquisition systems, and test standards.
- Identifies and resolves issues during the prototype phase by collaborating with engineering teams.
- The position may require domestic travel to support testing activities at various locations.
- Standard working hours for this role are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Associates Degree in related field, Mechanics Certificate, 4 years previous heavy equipment mechanic experience, or 4 years previous test technician experience.
- Able to use hand tools, operate machinery, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with diagnostic tools is a bonus but not required.
