Pay Rate: $6.31 an hour, plus tips and $22.50 an hour as an Assistant Pit Supervisor
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exchange cash for chips
- Deal the games (i.e. blackjack, three card poker, pai gow etc.) efficiently and in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Provide continuous quality entertainment and service to guests
- Protect the integrity of the game and table inventory
- Operate the table games software
- Monitor table activity and guest play ensuring compliance with Title 31 guidelines
- Correct dealer errors and settle player disputes
- Initiate and verify fills and credits for tables
- Issue comps following established guidelines
Required Knowledge and Certification:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 6 months table games experience
- Previous supervisory experience
- Proven knowledge of basic strategy and (+) and (-) count system
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Above average math skills
- Ability to work fast and efficiently
- Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
- Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice
- Must be able to stand for long periods throughout the day with some walking
- Must be able to reach and twist routinely
- Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
- Must have the ability to independently lift up to 5 pounds infrequently
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Must have good eye hand coordination
- Must have the ability to deal at least 350 hands per hour
- Work is performed primarily on the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
- Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
- High volume direct public contact
