Environmental Services Director

Bachelor's degree in Land-Use Planning or related field and 6 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and a valid Driver's license.

At-will, salaried, Department Head position that serves under the administrative direction of the Lake County Administrator. Responsible for ensuring all environmental and planning programs are managed effectively to meet the strategic direction of the County. Responsibilities may include determining departmental priorities, managing department budget, developing program policies, and directing personnel management for the department's divisions of Planning and Zoning and Solid Waste (including but not limited to Land Use and Solid Waste Ordinance enforcement, Subsurface Sewage Treatment Systems, Wetland Conservation Act, Household Hazardous Waste, Demolition Landfill, and Recycle Center).

Appointee to the position must successfully complete probationary period per contract.
