The pay range for this position is $14.49-$20.95 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Front Office Associate to join our team. As a Front Office Associate, you will be responsible for providing services to patients and referring professionals by answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting and registering patients in a cheerful, professional, and sincere manner, and performing other duties as assigned. This is a full‑time position working Monday‑Friday typically 9:30 am–6:00 pm with occasional 8:30 am–5:00 pm shifts;

includes Saturday rotation 2–3 per year.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Registration (55%)
    • Greets and checks‑in patients scheduled for imaging services; registers demographic information and processes payment plans and copays
    • Answers phones and handles calls in an efficient and friendly manner
    • Fields calls appropriately for center associates
    • Acts as liaison between technologists and the patients waiting for exams and relays messages regarding scanner status and other clinic information
    • Maintains front office lobby area by straightening magazines, organizing coffee supplies and assisting with general office clean‑up
    • Orders office supplies as needed
    • Maintains supply of patient information sheets
    • Pushes imaging via electronic interfaces
    • Completes confirmation calls and provides preparation instructions to patient
    • Faxes reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested
  • Insurance (20%)
    • Verifies patient’s insurance
    • Pre‑certifies all exams with patient’s insurance company
    • Obtains insurance authorization
    • Uses knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare) and procedures that require waivers to obtain authorization if needed prior to appointment
    • Handles release of information requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies following company guidelines
  • Scheduling (20%)
    • Arranges transportation, interpreters, and hotel accommodations for patients when appropriate
    • Enters and submits patient exam orders
    • Verifies orders match exam schedules
    • Schedules referrals and ensures proper authorizations are obtained
    • Schedules walk‑in patients
    • Processes requests for image orders and CDs from referring physicians and patients
    • Maintains an up‑to‑date and accurate database on all current and potential referring physicians
  • Other Duties (5%)
    • Performs other duties as assigned
