:
Monday‑Friday – normal business hours with flexibility to accommodate the needs of a 24‑hour facility.
Compensation
:
- Unlicensed Clinical Trainee: $62,000‑$65,000 per year
- Licensed Therapist: $67,000‑$72,000 per year
This is a unique role as it offers opportunity for clinicians to provide therapy to adolescents in residential treatment as part of the program administrative and leadership team. The clinical team ensures each resident’s mental health needs are met through application of trauma‑informed and whole‑person therapeutic services, as well as collaboration for coordination of care, provision of clinical guidance and education to staff, and participation within the administrative team for day‑to‑day program needs.
Responsibilities- Maintain a working clinical caseload of residents including facilitation of diagnostic assessments, individual, family and group therapies (15 clinical hours per week expected)
- Provide clinical direction and insight to the treatment team and milieu staff
- Work with assigned treatment team for collaborative care regarding overall treatment needs, milieu interventions, discharge planning, and other needs
- Involve young people and their families in treatment planning and reviews
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans in cooperation with clients, families and the treatment team
- Participate in treatment plan and progress reviews
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team including nursing, psychiatry, direct care, etc.
- Collaborate on overall operation assessments
- Attend and participate weekly in clinical and psychiatric consultation meetings and all required trainings
- Coordinate consultation and services with psychiatrist, case managers, families, and other Bar None staff as needed to maximize client success
- Complete ongoing documentation (diagnostic assessments, session notes, group notes, etc.)
- Utilize creativity in your trained and preferred interventions to guide clients to achieve their goals
- Arrange for provision of services and referrals as necessary
- Meet affirmative action goals established by the organization while maintaining a work environment which respects and supports cultural competence and proficiency
- Assure program participant privacy is maintained by being knowledgeable and following HIPAA privacy and security regulations
- Participate in Mental Health Professional phone support rotation per the needs of the program/facility

- Must have a master’s degree in one of the following fields from an accredited college or university and working towards licensure (e.g. Clinical Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy)
- Licensed Mental Health Professional or currently seeking clinical licensure (LMFT, LICSW, LPCC, etc.)
- Experience with DAs, treatment plans, and clinical case notes. Experience working with youth and families preferred.
- Effective communication, both orally and in writing
- Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients and co‑workers
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
