SummaryThe Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the company’s HR operations, ensuring legal compliance, and providing exceptional service to employees. This position is responsible for administering employee benefits, managing leave programs (including FMLA, ADA, and MN PFML), and maintaining compliance with all federal and state employment regulations. The HR Administrator oversees benefit enrollments, COBRA administration, and 401(k) processes, while also maintaining accurate payroll deductions and benefit records.
Additional responsibilities include policy management, unemployment administration, and collaboration with third-party administrators and banking partners. This role also supports recruitment efforts for office staff, coordinating interviews and onboarding new hires with professionalism and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of HR compliance, and a commitment to supporting both employees and company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Administer and manage employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, and MN PFML.
- Oversee COBRA administration, including the distribution of required notices.
- Manage the employee benefits enrollment and election portal.
- Maintain and update company policies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Review and screen resumes for office staff positions; coordinate and conduct interviews.
- Prepare and administer new hire benefit packets and onboarding materials.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee benefit inquiries, including Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life, STD, LTD, Hospital Indemnity, Accident, and Critical Illness plans.
- Coordinate with banking partners to establish HSAs for employees.
- Manage the annual 401(k) audit process and distribute required plan notifications.
- Update and maintain insurance and benefit deductions within the payroll system.
- Collaborate with the company’s TPA’s.
- Complete and submit required benefit claim forms and support documentation.
- Administer and manage unemployment claims and documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field and minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources or Benefits Administration required.
