Position Overview

Provides Human Resources support as a business partner to the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Regional Human Resources Officer and legal counsel to ensure company compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Partner with management to resolve employee relations issues and provide effective coaching.
  • Lead managers through the company performance and compensation management cycle; educate employees and managers on these processes.
  • Partner with leaders to increase employee engagement.
  • Facilitate coordination of company training programs.
  • Partner with management on employee satisfaction and retention efforts.
  • Coordinate approvals and process compensation adjustments and promotions.
  • Partner with recruiting team to source and hire talent; manage the offer process and onboarding of new hires.
  • Lead or actively participate in local and regional staff meetings.
  • Partner with national wellness team to promote company‑wide health initiatives.
  • Work with centralized benefits team in administration of employee leaves of absence and administer workers’ compensation claims.
  • Facilitate formal disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Manage employee off‑boarding as necessary; conduct exit interviews.
  • Maintain professional and technical Human Resources knowledge.
  • May oversee general office operations and manage HR generalist and/or other office administration staff.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years relevant HR experience; strong understanding of broad HR practices.
  • College degree required, preference for concentration in HR or related field.
  • Certification in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM‑CP) preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient with internet‑based programs and Microsoft Office products, including Excel; HRIS system experience preferred.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to drive results; sound ethical and business judgement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills.
  • Effective partnership with team members at every level of the organization.
  • Effective management of confidential information.
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal and state labor laws.

Compensation

Actual salary is dependent on skill set and experience. Typical range: $100,000‑$115,000 with the opportunity to participate in a standard incentive plan. Full‑time Senior Director level, U.S. locations, including Minneapolis, MN and St. Paul, MN.
