The IT team at Satellogic delivers reliable, scalable, and secure technology solutions to support the company’s mission and day‑to‑day operations. We ensure the smooth functioning of all IT services, infrastructure, and tools that enable business continuity, operational efficiency, and security.

We are looking for an IT Operator to join our Corporate IT team and work closely with our local Uruguay Plant IT team. In this role, you will support the IT systems used across our satellite production line and help implement software solutions that enable technicians and engineers to work efficiently.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with operating system management (Windows and Linux), enjoys working directly with users, and is passionate about learning new technologies and improving processes.

This role is on‑site in Montevideo, Uruguay. Satellogic’s office locations include Buenos Aires, Barcelona, and Montevideo.

• Configure, inventory, and support end‑user computers running Windows, and Linux.
• Provide first‑line support and incident management to technicians and office users.
• Manage user accounts and permissions across different systems and platforms.
• Maintain documentation of IT standards, ensure compliance, and provide training when needed.
• Provide support in the installation and configuration of IT equipment in technical rooms (servers, switches, routers, cabling, UPS, etc.).
• Monitor and optimize distributed systems for performance and reliability.
• Manage software inventory and licenses.
• Work closely with the Corporate IT team to improve reliability, security, and user experience across the company’s systems.

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in IT operations, field support, or network/hardware installation.
• Basic knowledge of networking (LAN, routing, switching) and server hardware.

• Ability to interact effectively with end users and support their daily work.
• Ability to read and write English, with basic oral communication skills.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic technical environment.
