Senior IT Project Manager

Our client, a leading global food and agriculture company, is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join their team!

This position is a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and is located in Wayzata, Minnesota.

This role is hybrid, with onsite participation preferred approximately 2-3 days per week.

The Senior IT Project Manager will support a large-scale plant technology modernization program focused on upgrading technology hardware across more than 1,000 plant locations.

This position will provide project management support across approximately five active work streams within a hybrid delivery model consisting of approximately 40% Agile pre-deployment architecture and solution development and 60% Waterfall-based hardware deployments.

• Provide project management support across approximately five active work streams within a large-scale plant technology modernization program
• Partner with workstream leads to define scope, deliverables, dependencies, timelines, task ownership, and completion expectations
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and integrate workstream activities into a unified program roadmap
• Track milestones, forecasts, dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation actions while maintaining accurate project documentation
• Coordinate activities across technical teams, business stakeholders, deployment groups, and external vendors
• Communicate project status, decisions, risks, and required actions while providing consultative guidance to workstream leads and stakeholders
• Support change management activities and establish practical, repeatable project processes within an evolving program environment

• 7+ years of dedicated project management experience
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple concurrent work streams
• Experience developing detailed project plans, defining deliverables, and tracking project execution
• Experience identifying and managing project risks, issues, dependencies, forecasts, and mitigation plans
• Ability to work effectively within both Agile and Waterfall delivery models
• Strong stakeholder management and written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to navigate competing priorities professionally
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated ability to collaborate across internal teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors

• Hands-on experience using JIRA for roadmap development, backlog management, or storyboarding
• Experience managing large-scale enterprise hardware deployments
• Experience supporting technology deployments across multiple physical locations
• Experience coordinating projects involving technical, operational, and vendor teams
• Experience supporting organizational change activities related to technology implementations

Pay Range:
The approximate pay range for this position is between $56.00 and $80.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
