Description Job DetailsPURPOSE OF POSITION: This position will enforce all local, state, and federal laws, provide assistance to citizens, render aid during emergencies, investigate crimes, make arrests, and assist in court proceedings.
WORK PERFORMED/JOB FUNCTIONS: Respond to emergencies, assist injured individuals, enforce laws, conduct investigations, gather evidence, interview witnesses, arrest suspects, serve warrants, transport prisoners, and perform related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to analyze situations quickly, communicate effectively, and possess knowledge in investigations, evidence handling, court procedures, and law enforcement practices. Must be familiar with local geography and law enforcement protocols.
MINIMUM TRAINING, EXPERIENCE OR CERTIFICATIONS: Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice or equivalent, full-time POST licensed peace officer or eligible, U.S. citizen, no felony convictions, valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Heavy physical activities including climbing, kneeling, handling force, and exposure to weather conditions.
HOURLY RATE: $35.40 - $45.41
