Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Overview

The Logistics Specialist will assist with supply chain activities to facilitate the movement of products and ingredients into contracted warehouses, vendors, our plants, or directly to customers. Responsibilities include completing documentation and system entries to ensure a timely and cost-effective flow of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of relationships to assist with order and shipment adjustments, optimizing buy/sell decisions to minimize costs and maximize profits and service quality.
  • Execute specialized transportation and logistics activities related to material resource planning, claims, incidents, customer service, and customer orders contracts.
  • Facilitate shipments against purchase and sales contracts, process purchase orders and invoices, and perform data entry using ERP systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Resolve basic issues and provide recommendations to improve freight movements cost-effectively.
  • Assist with routine scheduling, transportation arrangements, stock inventory management, and shipment reporting according to contractual agreements.
  • Support inbound logistics activities for raw materials and finished goods, from origin to destination.
  • Manage transportation capacity planning, third-party warehouses, vendors, container administration, and import shipments.
  • Handle basic issues under supervision and escalate complex problems appropriately.
    • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with SAP is preferred.
