The Logistics & Commercial Analyst is the analytical and decision‑support function for Mesabi Metallics’ Commercial and Logistics organization. The role analyzes pricing, shipment, inventory, contract and logistics information, explains what the results mean, and recommends actions that inform commercial decisions, S&OP planning, freight and settlement outcomes, and management reporting. This position owns provisional pricing and mark‑to‑market analysis for open shipments. It decides how pricing and exposure positions are assessed and presented, and leads pricing/netback and landed‑cost analysis.

The Analyst uses independent judgment to evaluate contract performance, logistics efficiency and settlement accuracy, and to decide which discrepancies are material and how to resolve them. The Analyst works closely with the Manager – Commercial & Market Strategy – North America, Sales and Operational Planning ("S&OP"), Rail and Marine Logistics, Finance and external service providers.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this position will be responsible for the following:

• Ensure integrity of shipment, volume, inventory, pricing and logistics data. Evaluate exceptions and data‑quality issues, decide how serious they are,and decide on corrective action
• Analyze provisional and final pricing outcomes and own mark‑to‑market reporting for open shipments and commercial positions. Interpret exposure and advise the CCO on pricing risk
