Job SummaryThe Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing efficiencies by utilizing and implementing continuous improvement techniques. This includes identifying, investigating, and resolving production issues, working with operations personnel to ensure qualified processes and production requirements are met, and providing training, support, and leadership for cross‑functional problem‑solving activities and methods.
Main Position Responsibilities- Perform line studies to determine efficiencies and improvements to be gained.
- Develop standard work procedures for training and operations.
- Develop methods to minimize change‑over times and reduce downtime.
- Establish a process of standardization in all aspects of the business.
- Work with Materials Group on inventory flow process.
- Improve material flow.
- Drive mechanical improvement initiatives: capital or MRO equipment investments.
- Develop a standard for all operations and manpower requirements.
- Work with Maintenance on developing a process for response time, diagnostic guides, and PM effectiveness.
- Implement workplace organization, visual control, and 5S process.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Ceramic, Production or Chemical Engineering.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to work effectively without close supervision in a matrix team environment.
• Manage schedule and priorities of multiple projects and initiatives.
• Any offer is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check and a pre‑employment drug test.
Pay Range – $70,000 – $87,000 (based on experience).
