Manufacturing Engineer, Assembly

Prepares product for systems level assembly to include unpacking, set-up assembly, final packaging and repair as required.
Responsibilities- Accesses the appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment
- Verifies kits, enters Batch lot information, package and label accessory items according to documented instructions
- Uses appropriate mats and all required tooling
- Checks equipment (torque wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) to ensure proper performance
- Uses manufacturing routings and process instructions under close supervision
- May assemble a variety of systems integration subassemblies
- Notifies leadership of any shutdown situations
- Enters data into Process Feedback System (PFS) and link subassemblies to final unit
- Enters quantities into Operations Complete (Baan) when required
- All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction.
- Mentor and assist lesser qualified operators
- Build subassemblies and add labels per manufacturing instructions and schematic drawings
- Perform systems integration specific hand solder and inspection operations per documented instructions
- Perform F-cert function to ensure final units have passed through all necessary operations
- Perform final inspection of unit to ensure there are no visible defects or finger prints and wipe down unit as needed
- Add user manuals, accessory packs, cables, labels, etc. per documented instructions
- May assist manufacturing engineering in basic prototype and pre-production builds
- Use manufacturing routings and process instructions under moderate supervision
- Mentor other co-workers in assembly activities
- 1+ years of experience in basic SI assembly (new build lines, subassembly/final assembly
- Demonstrate good component recognition skills
- Understanding of basic computer skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate high attention to detail
- Demonstrate discretion, confidentiality and professionalism when representing the company
- Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work with diverse groups
- Participate in a continuous improvement activity
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math

Compensation Range: $18.50o $21 USD Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
