- Active, unencumbered RN license in the state where the clinician will practice
- Current CPR certification with hands‑on component (training provided if required)
- TB skin test current within the last 12 months
- Six months of hands‑on nursing experience preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation
- Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
- Continuously observe, assess patient condition and care needs and report changes to supervisor or physician.
- Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, and coordination of care promptly.
- Develop, implement, and update the nursing care plan.
- Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes.
- Recognize changes in patient needs and implement care to prevent or reduce risk.
- Maintain personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Provide care using infection control measures that protect both staff and patient according to OSHA standards.
- Educate patient and family about disease process, self‑care techniques, and prevention strategies to meet nursing needs.
- Maintain knowledge of nursing competencies by participating in educational programs, continuing education units, and internal learning management activities.
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
- Current, unrestricted state RN license in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification (we have CPR instructors)
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
