Hourly Range: $20.50 - $29.69

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, resident-centered care and daily living assistance to individuals in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The CNA delivers age-appropriate care that supports both the physical and psychological well‑being of each resident, following individualized care plans.

As an integral member of the nursing team, the CNA is responsible for adhering to established infection prevention and control practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Primary responsibilities include assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and undressing; obtaining and recording vital signs; and providing emotional and psychosocial support. The CNA also assists residents with mobility needs, including transferring, repositioning, and ambulation, using safe and appropriate techniques and equipment. Additional duties include performing range‑of‑motion and passive exercises as directed.

The CNA contributes to a positive dining experience by assisting with helping residents with meals and snacks and ensuring adequate hydration and nutritional support in accordance with individual care plans.

Qualifications

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.

Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.

Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.

Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
