All newly graduated registered nurses with less than 12 months of practice experience, hired into a scheduled FTE registered nurse position, are automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program. All nurses new to Mayo Clinic receive an extensive orientation.

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
• Support professional nursing practice across settings and continuum of care.
• Operate within the Mayo Nursing Care Model: plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care.
• Provide leadership through roles such as preceptor, informal leadership, and quality improvement.
• Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, acuity, fiscal accountability, and resources.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, mentoring, and teaching; participate in committees or projects.

• Student or graduate of a registered nursing program.
• Associate‑degree RN with a start date of April 1, 2020 or later must provide evidence of a baccalaureate degree within five years of the start date.
• Associate‑degree RN with a start date prior to April 1, 2020 must provide evidence of baccalaureate completion per program requirements at hire.
• One year of RN experience in a relevant care setting or one year LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.

• Current MN RN License.
• BLS for Health Care Providers required (from AHA or Red Cross).

$42.84–$65.84 per hour. The compensation model rewards experience, education, and dedication.

Part Time – Per Diem / Supplemental.
