Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a 13-week Critical Access Hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of ER experience and ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

• Active MN RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Must meet MN Net Study fingerprint requirements

• Acute care Emergency Room setting in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
• Unit sees fewer than 300 patients per month and is typically staffed with one nurse
• Patient population includes diverse cultural groups including Latino and Micronesian communities
• Rare psych patients and occasional pediatric cases, with complex pediatric cases transferred to a children's hospital
• MIs and CVAs are typically transferred to higher level facilities
• Uses MEDITECH EMR
• Uses Plum IV pumps and Nihon Kohden cardiac monitors
• 12-hour rotating day/night shifts with every 3rd weekend required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Facility does not have security staff but the hospital can be placed on lock-down if needed
• No locked rooms are available on the unit
• Challenging pediatric cases are transferred to Children's Hospital in St. Cloud or St. Cloud Hospital
