• Lead multiple ongoing and new research projects, including data collection and analysis
• Supervise research staff and manage recruitment efforts
• Assist in the general operation of the lab, including ordering and maintaining organization
• Design new research experiments and prepare presentations for group meetings
• Provide training and guidance to other lab members as needed

• Bachelor of Science degree
• For Research Specialist A: 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• For Research Specialist B: 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data
• Experience in laboratory research and operations

• Experience with genetic counseling services or clinical research
• Familiarity with NIH contracts or similar funding sources
• Strong publication record in relevant research areas
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
