Location: Wadena, MN.

Hours: Part‑time, AM (6:30 am – 3:00 pm) or PM (3:00 pm – 7:00 pm) shifts available.

BSG Culinary teams typically finish work by 7 pm and are scheduled only every other weekend and holiday.

• Maintains confidentiality, protects HIPAA, and knows resident rights
• Ensures food and other items are stored properly with proper dating and FIFO principles
• Assists in making sandwiches and dishing up desserts
• Maintains proper portion control following spreadsheets
• Washes dishes, sanitizes surfaces, removes trash, and cleans up after self
• Records dishwasher, drink, and dessert temperatures
• Maintains all sanitation logs
• Helps with food preparation, fills and distributes snack cart, pulls and dates supplements, dates juices/milks
• Understands basic nutrition, including therapeutic and mechanically altered diets, and different liquid consistencies
• Follows resident/patient preferences and tray cards while protecting HIPAA
• Sanitizes food service equipment, appliances, and work areas
• Stocks serving areas with needed supplies (condiments, beverages, utensils, etc.)
• Assists with meal service and providing residents desired food and beverage items
• Assists with set‑up/clean‑up of dining rooms
• Utilizes dish machine appropriately and puts away clean/dry dishes
• Dishes up dessert and dates them
• Records temperatures of drinks/desserts and dish machine
• Lightly cleans common areas: sweeps/mops dining rooms, kitchen, and serving areas
• Maintains storage areas, ensures everything is dated and signs off on cleaning schedule
• Assists CNAs in serving breakfast, lunch, and supper
• Performs all other kitchen duties as assigned
• Follows all Culinary Services procedures and BSG dress code

• At least 16 years of age
• Ability to use dishwasher and record temperatures
• Must be able to stand 90% of shift; may require bending, twisting, reaching above head, and lifting items up to 50 lbs
• Must pass a TB test, health‑care background check, and drug testing where applicable
• Ability to take and maintain a Serv Safe Food handler Certificate
