Journeyman Plumber - Plumbing Service

Esser Plumbing and Heating is looking for an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our Plumbing Service team. If you enjoy solving complex plumbing problems, working directly with customers, and mentoring newer technicians, this could be a great next step in your career.

As a Lead Plumbing Service Technician, you’ll take ownership of advanced service calls in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings delivering high-quality work that meets code, safety standards, and customer expectations.

• Lead the diagnosis, repair, and installation of plumbing systems including piping, fixtures, water heaters, and drainage systems.
• Troubleshoot complex plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, pressure problems, and equipment failures.
• Perform advanced installations and repairs, including tankless water heaters, sump pumps, water filtration systems.
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain issues, provide estimates, and recommend solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety standards.
• May mentor and serve as a technical resource for apprentice and junior technicians.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles so you’re ready for daily service calls.

• Journeyman plumber or 4th-year apprentice nearly ready to test
• Plumbing experience with a strong focus on service and repair
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
• Ability to work independently and lead by example
• Professional, customer-focused communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment

• Ability to lift and carry materials and tools up to 60 lbs.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and awkward positions
• Able to bend, kneel, climb, stand, and work on your feet for extended periods
• Work performed in varying environments and temperatures, depending on season and job location
